Attention problems

Many children struggle with social learning challenges for a variety of reasons. Sometimes there is no official diagnosis for their inability to effectively communicate and connect with their peers.

One in five young children are struggling in school right now. If this includes your child, early assistance can have her or him back on track this school year.

Executive functions are critical to all humans and include the abilities to make good decisions, to reason about situations and issues, to withhold impulsive and risky behaviors, and to make plans for future events are extremely important for success in the classroom, on the playground, and in social settings.

Children with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) often have persistent difficulties controlling their attention, finding that their minds jump from one topic to another. Traditionally, medications have been the first line of treatment for children and adults with ADHD. Now, researchers are learning more about the benefits of mindfulness in treating ADHD.
