My name is Madison Harris and I am a Doctor of Occupational Therapy. I completed my studies at the University of Southern California, then moved a short drive away down the 10 freeway to the UCLA Department of Pediatrics where I developed two occupational therapy programs with pediatric concussion patients and adolescent epilepsy patients. My "style of OT" less focused on the hands-on motor or sensory intervention and more on executive functioning, routine-building, increasing independence, and engaging in life transitions (return to school post-pandemic, middle school to high school, high school to college) using a lense that encompasses ooccupational engagement and mental health. I also work with high school and collegiate athletes, transitioning out of sport and adjusting to a new identity that is not tied to their sport. My goal is to help my adoelscent clients engage in all the activities they want to do and need to do throughout the day. I provide interventions in the client's home, in our clinic space in Santa Monica, and via telemedicine.
