Hello! My name is Madison Harris, I am an occupational therapist and the owner of Preferred Therapy Associates. We offer in home services and in the community to patients in Los Angeles, Ventura and Orange Counties, as well as telemedicine services to any patients located in the state of California.
I enjoy working with 12-25 year olds with a history of neurological disorders (concussion, traumatic brain injury, epilepsy), POTs/Dysautonomia, ADHD and autism. I enjoy helping patients with disabilities move through life transitions, such as starting middle or high school, preparing to be independent when moving to college, or preparing to enter the work force. I take a lifestyle modification, executive functioning approach to treatment to ensure my patients can live life to the fullest despite barriers, symptoms, or challenges they may experience.
My colleague Dr. Shannon Westerberg loves to work with 2-12 year olds to address feeding/swallowing disorders, complications secondary to oncological diagnosis, chronic pain, and other pediatric needs. Dr. Westerberg spends her time Monday-Thursday working as an outpatient occupational therapist at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Dr. Westerberg sees patients located in West Los Angeles on Fridays in home, or virtually as needed/appropriate.
