Ilana is a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY28947) assessing children and adolescents in community-based mental health clinical around Los Angeles since 2010. A graduate of the prestigious Reiss-Davis Child Study Center Psychoeducational and Diagnostic Testing Program, she has extensive training in cognitive, academic, attentional, and psychological testing. She is passionate about ensuring educational and life success for children, adolescents, and young adults, taking an active role in pursuing appropriate accommodations in and out of the classroom. She participated in the National Institutes of Health Intramural Research Training Award program, and worked with children and adolescents with severe emotional and behavior difficulties. Her research has also focused on the effects of worry on academic performance and helping parents address their own psychological well-being to then promote their child's success. She has worked with children ages 3 months to 23 years, assessing their developmental progress, cognition, processing style, and academic skills. She also serves as an adjunct professor at California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University in Los Angeles, teaching graduate students about psychodiagnostic assessment. Dr. Jurkowitz provides concierge services, traveling to the home to complete all testing sessions.
