Ashley is an experienced educational specialist and leader in education. With a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education and a Masters of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Teachers College, Columbia University, Ashley is highly qualified to support children's learning needs. She began her career in education as a first-grade teacher in California and was awarded "Teacher of the Year" in her second year of teaching. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she coached teachers and supported students in literacy practices. Ashley is also well-versed in teaching explicit, systematic phonics and using Orton-Gillingham methods. She is passionate about working with neurodiverse students and has worked with children ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade as an academic interventionist.
